EL PASO, Texas – El Paso Locomotive FC Academy and Youth Soccer showed out over the weekend in Cobras Soccer Events 2023 Copa de Campeones, an annual local tournament that attracts hundreds of youth teams from around the region.

“We are always excited to represent our club in our own community against local competition and we love that our players were able to play in front of families and friends,” Academy Director Ivan Militar said.
Academy sides played against competition an age above their bracket, which provided the teams with a physical challenge to pull off results, which they did.
“I’m proud of our Academy’s performance and how we executed our style of play,” Militar said. “It’s always beneficial to play against older players and these tournaments allow us to do so.”

“It's great to get many of the top teams from our area to play in the same complex and all of our teams gained quality experiences from these matches, which they will use to continue to learn and improve through the rest of the season,” said Director of Youth Soccer Colin Herlinger.
