EL PASO, Texas – El Paso Locomotive FC Youth Soccer had an amazing display over the weekend with three teams picking up championship silverware across two different tournaments.

Locomotive’s U-12 Boys Blue team put on a dominant display at the 2023 New Mexico State Cup in Bernalillo, New Mexico, winning all six of its matches and outscoring opponents 35-2. The team lifted the U-12 State Cup after it won the final 4-0 and as a result, qualified for the US Youth Soccer Far West Regional Championships in Boise, Idaho, set to be played June 16-21, 2023.

Meanwhile, just outside of Denver, Colorado, Locomotive’s U-9 and U-11 Blue teams won all of their matches to win their respective divisions at the 2023 Rock Cup, organized by Colorado Rapids Youth Soccer Club.

Locomotive U-9 Blue was perfect in group stage play, finishing at the top of the U-9 Silver B Boys Division table and outscoring opponents 25-4. The team went on to win the championship match 5-2.  

Locomotive U-11 Blue also won all three matches in group play, scoring 19 goals and only allowing two. The team fought to a 4-1 win in the U-9 Silver A Boys Division Final.
