EL PASO, Texas – El Paso Locomotive FC Academy recently wrapped up its first season competing in one of the country’s top youth soccer leagues, Elite 64.

“The season was competitive and a brilliant experience for our boys,” Director of Youth Soccer Colin Herling said. “We are excited about the opportunity to participate again this coming season with new teams, stronger competition and the prospect to again challenge for the National championship.”

Amongst the six Academy teams this season, El Paso Locomotive posted 68 wins, 11 losses and two draws overall, with all teams qualifying for the E64 National Playoffs. The U13, U14 and U15 boys stood out as the three teams to participate in the National Finals held in Oceanside, California – just north of San Diego – with the U15 squad making it all the way to the National Championship game.

“Our intention is to repeat this success and send all of our eligible teams to the National Playoffs this upcoming year,” Academy Director Ivan Militar said. “We are proud of what we have achieved as part of the E64 platform, but now it is time to get into next gear and show even more quality on and off the field."
