EL PASO, Texas – El Paso Locomotive FC Youth Soccer put up impressive and competitive performances over the weekend in Phoenix at the 2023 Arsenal Challenge, one of the premier fall youth tournaments in the Southwest.

“This is our second year attending the Arsenal Challenge, and we believe this tournament is a perfect fit for all our teams,” Director of Youth Soccer and Programs Colin Herlinger said. “This tournament provides quality competition for all levels of teams and this year did not disappoint as all our teams were challenged and were able to experience tough competition outside of El Paso, with great weather and high-quality complexes.”

The Academy had six teams make the trip to Arizona whereas Club Soccer had seven and most teams either won their respective age groups or finished amongst the top four.

“As an Academy, we are always looking forward to tournaments like [Arsenal Challenge] because it provides an opportunity to measure ourselves and our developmental path against regional competition,” Academy Director Ivan Militar said.
