EL PASO, Texas – El Paso Locomotive FC Academy put up impressive championship performances at the SC Del Sol 45th Annual Presidents’ Day Tournament in Phoenix, Arizona, bringing back home silverware to add to the Academy trophy cabinet.

“The President's Day Tournament is always a highly anticipated event for our Academy and all three of our teams – the U-13s, U-14s, and U-20s – competed successfully” Locomotive FC Academy Director Ivan Militar said. “It seems that the hard work and dedication the players are putting forward when it comes to team chemistry, tactical decisions, and competitiveness are starting to pay off.”

With the chance to compete against highly ranked youth teams to showcase themselves in front of college scouts, the PDT tournament offered a unique opportunity for Locomotive FC Academy players to create opportunities to continue their academic and athletic careers at the collegiate level.

The U-20's lifted their second consecutive PDT trophy after a 2-0-win against SC Del Sol MLS Next whereas the U-13s went all the way to win their first ever PDT trophy, a 2-0-win over Crossfire Premier ECNL. The U14s finished runners-up in their age bracket, falling 2-1 to Arizona Arsenal SC.
